When fully extended, a colony creates a field of small waving polyps that adds both colour and constant movement to the reef.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eClavularia\u003c\/em\u003e are octocorals, so each polyp has eight pinnate, or feather-like, tentacles. Colonies grow by spreading across the surface beneath them and producing new polyps, gradually creating a larger patch of interconnected animals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eWhy We Like It\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIt's simple, bright and full of movement. The fine polyps give it a completely different texture from fleshy LPS or chunky leather corals, and the fluorescent green really stands out under reef lighting.
