However, they are almost never available for sale. There are a few reasons for this, the first of which is harvest\/collection is very difficult. Stomatellas have a beautiful defence mechanism 'Autolysis', this means that like some Geckos, Stomatella will drop their tail when attacked. The tail then continues to wiggle around whilst the snail escapes. This means that they must be harvested in certain ways.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTurbo snails are bigger when fully grown and are good heavy duty cleaners.
