The Eight Line Flasher Wrasse is one of the most spectacular members of the flasher wrasse family, combining vivid colours with an energetic personality. Mature males are famous for their incredible "flashing" displays, where they rapidly spread their fins and intensify their colours to impress females or establish dominance.

Peaceful and completely reef safe, this species is an excellent choice for mixed reef aquariums with plenty of live rock and open swimming space. It is constantly active throughout the day and mixes well with other peaceful community fish.

Like all flasher wrasses, this species is an exceptional jumper. A tightly fitting lid or mesh cover is essential, as even settled specimens may leap from uncovered aquariums if startled.

Feeding: Offer a varied diet of frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, copepods and high-quality marine pellets. Feeding small amounts several times a day will help maintain excellent health, vibrant colouration and natural display behaviour.
