Origin: Indo-Pacific

Invert Safe: With caution – may nip at feather dusters and very small shrimp

Coral Safe: With caution – some species may nip at soft corals or LPS

Adult Size: Up to 20–25 cm depending on species

Diet: Omnivore – frozen mysis, brine shrimp, marine algae, and pellets

Why We Like It:

Elegant and constantly active, Bannerfish are known for their long trailing dorsal fin and bold black-and-white patterning. Often confused with Moorish Idols, they are generally much hardier and better suited to aquarium life. Best kept in spacious tanks with open swimming room. A striking addition that brings movement and height to larger reef or FOWLR displays.
