Notes:
The Blue Dot Jawfish is a striking burrow-dwelling species, instantly recognisable by its pale body covered in bright blue spots. Native to the Gulf of California, it requires a deep sand bed mixed with rubble to create stable burrows. This species is prone to jumping, so a tight-fitting lid is essential. Sensitive to poor water quality and rapid temperature swings, it does best in mature, stable aquariums.

Why We Like It:
With its jewel-like blue spotting and curious, alert behaviour, the Blue Dot Jawfish is a true showpiece. Watching it build and guard its burrow adds fascinating natural behaviour to the aquarium, making it a favourite among dedicated reef keepers.
