Budding Sarcophyton Leather
What it is
A Sarcophyton leather coral that grows primarily by producing new daughter toadstools rather than significantly increasing the size of the main cap. This specimen shows multiple developing buds, each capable of forming an independent colony over time.
Why we like it
This growth form makes it especially interesting and rewarding to keep. Instead of becoming a single oversized leather, it naturally creates a clustered toadstool structure, adding depth and visual complexity to the reef.
