Description

Cabbage Coral is a hardy Sinularia soft coral that develops broad, folded lobes resembling the leaves of a cabbage. As the colony matures, those folds create an increasingly substantial shape with plenty of texture and gentle movement in the flow.

Like other leather corals, Sinularia doesn't build a hard stony skeleton. Its body is supported by microscopic calcium carbonate structures called sclerites, allowing the colony to remain flexible while still developing into a large and substantial coral.

Why We Like It

This is the sort of coral that gets better as it gets bigger. A small piece is easy to place, but over time it develops into a proper feature colony with loads of folds and texture. It's hardy, adaptable and a great option when you want something substantial without moving into more demanding stony corals.
