Description

Dragon Tamer Torch is a premium Torch Coral with a striking combination of contrasting colour across its long, flowing tentacles and bright tips. Fully extended, the sweeping tentacles create loads of movement while the contrasting pigments become particularly vivid under blue-spectrum reef lighting.

Like all true Torch Corals, Dragon Tamer is Euphyllia glabrescens. The huge variety of colours seen within this single species is one of the reasons Torches have become such collectible corals, with named morphs selected for particularly distinctive combinations of tentacle, tip and mouth colour.

Why We Like It

Dragon Tamer is one of those Torches where the name fits the coral ? dramatic, colourful and impossible to miss once it's fully extended. It's got the movement that makes Torches so good in a display, but enough colour and contrast to stand out even amongst other premium Euphyllia.

Care Notes

Best kept with stable reef parameters, moderate lighting and varied flow that keeps the tentacles gently moving. Torch Corals are primarily photosynthetic but will also accept small meaty foods and suitable coral foods, with occasional feeding helping to support growth and new head development.
