Description

Frankenstein Bounce Mushroom is a highly patterned Rhodactis with the exaggerated bubble-like vesicles characteristic of Bounce Mushrooms. Its contrasting, almost mismatched patches of colour give it the Frankenstein name, while the enlarged vesicles add a dramatic three-dimensional texture to the surface.

?Bounce? isn't a separate species of mushroom. It describes a growth form where some of the surface vesicles become unusually enlarged. These bubbles can continue to develop as the mushroom grows, meaning a mature Bounce can look considerably more exaggerated than it did when young.
