Gold Wall Hammer Coral (Fimbriaphyllia ancora)
The Gold Wall Hammer Coral is a premium LPS coral featuring a continuous wall skeleton topped with densely packed hammer-shaped polyps. Brilliant golden-yellow tips contrast against darker inner tissue, creating a rich and luxurious appearance that becomes even more impressive when the colony is fully expanded.
Why We Like It
Large wall hammers have a commanding presence that few corals can match. The uninterrupted sweep of flowing polyps creates a natural, elegant display, while the intense gold colouration remains visible from across the room. Mature specimens develop into true showpiece corals that become the centrepiece of any reef aquarium.
Care & Details
* Lighting: Moderate
* Flow: Low to moderate, indirect
* Placement: Lower to middle regions of the aquarium
* Growth: Slow
* Feeding: Benefits from occasional feeding of mysis, brineshrimp and other meaty foods
* Aggression: High – allow adequate space from neighbouring corals
A spectacular wall hammer coral combining intense golden colouration, flowing movement and impressive size for a true reef centrepiece.
