The Goldstreak Blenny is a peaceful and characterful reef fish, recognised by its distinctive golden stripe and inquisitive personality. It spends much of its day perched amongst the rockwork, grazing on algae and biofilm before darting between hiding places.

This species is an excellent addition to mature reef aquariums, where its natural grazing behaviour can contribute to controlling nuisance algae. Plenty of live rock should be provided to allow the blenny to establish territories and retreat when startled.

Goldstreak Blennies are generally peaceful towards other fish but may become territorial towards similar blennies or fish with a comparable body shape, particularly in smaller aquariums.

Feeding: Feed a varied diet including algae-based foods, spirulina, marine pellets, frozen mysis and enriched brine shrimp. Although it naturally grazes throughout the day, supplementary feeding is important, particularly in cleaner aquariums with limited natural algae growth.
