What It Is
The Hugo Kamishi Titanium Heater is a separate aquarium heating element available here in 500W and 1000W sizes. Its saltwater-resistant titanium housing provides an alternative to a glass heater tube for marine and freshwater systems.
A separate, suitably rated temperature controller is required and sold separately. This heater has no built-in thermostat.
Why We Like It
The titanium construction is useful in busy sumps where a glass heater could get knocked during maintenance. Separating the heater from its controller also lets you manage heating from an accessible control unit.
Choose 500W for moderate heating requirements or 1000W when a larger system needs more capacity. Room temperature and heat loss matter as much as water volume.
Choosing Your Heater
| Model | Power | Suggested Use |
|---|---|---|
| 500W | 500 watts | Medium to large aquariums, or part of a multiple-heater setup |
| 1000W | 1,000 watts | Larger systems or installations with greater heating demand |
Heater sizing depends on the difference between room and target water temperature, total water volume and heat loss. Check the controllerÕs maximum heating load, including the combined wattage if connecting multiple heaters.
