Hulk Torch Coral Care | The Happy Reef
Hulk Torch is a striking Torch Coral morph dominated by intense fluorescent green colouration. Its long, flowing tentacles combine vivid colour with constant movement, becoming particularly bright under blue-spectrum reef lighting and making it an excellent feature coral.
Torch Corals belong to the genus Euphyllia. Interestingly, while Hammers and Frogspawn were moved from Euphyllia into Fimbriaphyllia following taxonomic revision, Torches remained within Euphyllia.
Scientific Name: Euphyllia glabrescens
PAR: 100?200
Flow: Moderate. Random, indirect flow that keeps the long tentacles constantly swaying without pinning them in one direction is ideal.
Placement: Mid Third
Feeding: Beneficial but not essential. Torch Corals are strongly photosynthetic but will also capture small meaty foods and suitable coral foods. Occasional feeding can support growth and the development of additional heads.
