Description

Mint Tip Torch is a colourful Torch Coral with long flowing tentacles finished with contrasting pale mint-green tips. The lighter tips stand out beautifully against the darker tentacles, becoming particularly crisp under blue-spectrum reef lighting.

Unlike Hammers and Frogspawn, which were moved into the genus Fimbriaphyllia, true Torch Corals remain within Euphyllia. Their long individual tentacles and constant movement make Euphyllia glabrescens one of the most instantly recognisable LPS corals in the hobby.

Why We Like It

It's a softer colour combination than some of the ultra-bright gold Torches, and that's exactly why we like it. Those cool mint tips give the coral a really clean contrast, while you still get all the movement and presence that makes a good Torch such a brilliant feature coral.

Care Notes

Best kept with stable reef parameters, moderate lighting and varied flow that keeps the tentacles gently moving. Torch Corals are primarily photosynthetic but will also accept small meaty foods and suitable coral foods, with occasional feeding helping to support growth and new head development.
