The Molly Miller Blenny is a hardy and highly characterful reef fish, well known for its constant grazing behaviour and usefulness in reef aquariums. It spends much of the day picking at algae, biofilm and tiny organisms growing on the rockwork, helping to keep the aquarium naturally clean.

One of the reasons this species has become so popular is its reputation for occasionally feeding on nuisance Aiptasia anemones. While individual fish vary and not every Molly Miller will develop a taste for Aiptasia, many aquarists have successfully used them as part of their natural pest management strategy.

This active blenny thrives in mature aquariums with plenty of live rock and hiding places. It is generally peaceful towards other fish but may defend its chosen perch against other blennies or similarly shaped species.

Feeding: Feed a varied diet of algae-based foods, spirulina, frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp and quality marine pellets. Although an excellent grazer, it should not be relied upon solely for algae or Aiptasia control.
