What It Is

Nyos Nitrate+ is a high-purity nitrate supplement designed to safely increase nitrate levels in reef aquariums. Unlike nutrient sources that add multiple compounds at once, Nitrate+ is intended specifically to raise nitrate, allowing more precise control over nutrient levels.

Why We Like It

For years, reefkeepers worked hard to reduce nutrients. Modern reef keeping has shown that nitrate and phosphate are not simply something to remove – they are nutrients that corals actively require. In many modern systems, particularly SPS-dominated aquariums, nutrients can become too low rather than too high.

Nitrate+ provides a simple way to correct this without increasing feeding or making broad changes elsewhere in the system. It is particularly useful where nitrate is testing at or near zero, corals appear pale, or nutrient levels have become unbalanced.
