The OG Bounce is one of the most iconic collector mushrooms in the hobby. Famous for its huge, inflated vesicles or “bubbles”, it develops an almost unreal appearance as it matures, with bright orange and yellow bounces contrasting against a green and blue/purple base.

Originally made famous in the US reefing scene, the OG Bounce has remained one of the benchmark collector mushrooms rather than disappearing as another short-lived coral trend. Mature specimens can develop enormous bubbles and become genuinely spectacular centrepiece corals.

Why We Like It

There are plenty of corals carrying the “bounce” name now, but the OG is still the one they get compared to. Each specimen develops slightly differently, and the oversized bubbles become more impressive with age. A proper bucket-list mushroom for a collector reef.
