Description

OG Jawbreaker is one of the classic named collector mushrooms, famous for developing an increasingly complex mix of yellow, orange and red pigmentation as it matures. Younger Jawbreakers can begin comparatively simple, with additional colours and irregular patches developing over time.

Jawbreakers are particularly interesting because their appearance isn't necessarily finished when you buy them. Mature specimens can become dramatically more patterned than juveniles, and individual mushrooms develop their colour differently. The original Jawbreaker lineage helped establish these highly patterned Discosoma as some of the most recognisable collector mushrooms in the hobby.
