Description

Orange Passion Acro is a highly sought-after Acropora morph known for its exceptional combination of contrasting blue, green and orange tones. The orange polyps provide the signature colour that gives the morph its name, standing out against cooler pigmentation across the branches and growing tips.

Orange Passion is a classic example of why named Acropora became so collectible: its appeal isn't simply one bright colour, but the contrast between different pigments across the colony. As new branches and growth tips develop, that combination becomes increasingly impressive.

Why We Like It

Orange is still an unusual colour to see prominently in Acropora, especially alongside blues and greens, so Orange Passion has a colour combination that immediately stands apart from most SPS. This is a large colony too, giving you the established shape, colour and presence that would normally take a frag a long time to develop.

Care Notes

Best suited to an established SPS reef with strong lighting, high varied flow and stable water chemistry. Consistent alkalinity is particularly important, alongside adequate calcium and magnesium to support skeletal growth. Stable nutrients and strong reef lighting will help the colony maintain the contrasting pigmentation Orange Passion is known for.
