PAR: 50?150
Flow: Low to moderate
Placement: Low Third
Description
Pharoah Yuma Mushroom is a premium Ricordea with a heavily textured surface formed from hundreds of rounded, bubble-like vesicles. Its contrasting pigmentation creates intricate rings and patterns across the disc, becoming increasingly impressive as the mushroom expands.
Ricordea yuma can be distinguished from the Caribbean Ricordea florida by the vesicles surrounding its mouth. On Yumas they typically continue right up towards the mouth, giving almost the entire oral disc its characteristic bubbly texture.
Why We Like It
Yumas are some of the most detailed mushrooms you can look at up close, and Pharoah is a great example. The combination of colour, pattern and densely packed vesicles gives it an almost jewelled appearance, while every individual develops slightly differently as it grows.
Care Notes
Yumas generally prefer moderate to lower lighting and gentler flow. They are photosynthetic and don't require direct feeding, although they can capture suitably sized foods. Once established, healthy specimens can reproduce and produce additional mushrooms around the original.
