Description
Rainbow Mini Acro Colony is a colourful Acropora displaying multiple contrasting pigments across its branches, corallites and growing tips. Rather than relying on a single standout colour, the appeal comes from the combination of tones and the fine detail that develops across the colony.
Colour in Acropora can vary across different parts of the same colony, particularly between established branches and actively growing tips. As the coral develops new growth, this can create increasingly complex combinations of colour and pattern.
Why We Like It
A good Rainbow Acro gives you something different to look at from every angle. Different colours appear across the branches and growth tips, and that appearance continues to evolve as the colony grows. Being a mini colony means you get an established shape and plenty of colour from the start rather than waiting for a small frag to develop.
Care Notes
Best suited to an established SPS reef with strong lighting, high varied flow and stable water chemistry. Consistent alkalinity is particularly important, alongside adequate calcium and magnesium to support skeletal growth. Good nutrient availability and stability will help maintain strong colour and continued branch development.
