Why We Like It:

With its vivid red-orange colour and simple, classic starfish shape, Echinaster sepositus is a stunning addition to suitable marine tanks. It’s generally peaceful and reef safe but requires stable, mature systems with plenty of live rock and biofilm. Like most sea stars, it is sensitive to poor water quality and sudden changes in salinity. A striking and naturalistic species best kept in larger, established aquariums.
