Notes:
A deepwater species rarely seen in the trade, the Yellowspot Anthias has a striking violet body with yellow spotting along the flanks. Like most anthias, it needs high oxygen levels and frequent feeding with small, meaty foods. Can be kept singly or in harems with one male to multiple females, but needs plenty of open water and secure hiding spaces. Best suited to large, mature reef tanks with strong flow and stable parameters. Easily outcompeted for food if kept with aggressive feeders.
Why We Like It:
Uncommon and incredibly striking, the Yellowspot Anthias brings vivid colour and shoaling behaviour to high-end reef tanks. A challenge to keep long term, but deeply rewarding for advanced aquarists with the system to support it.
