Why We Like It

The Tiger Cowrie is one of the most recognisable marine snails in the hobby, featuring a smooth, glossy shell covered in distinctive dark spots that resemble a tiger’s pattern. By day it often remains hidden, emerging after lights out to explore the aquarium. Larger specimens may graze on soft corals, sponges and other sessile invertebrates, making them better suited to carefully selected reef systems or fish-only aquariums. Their unique appearance and fascinating behaviour make them a standout addition to mature marine tanks.
