Description

Ultra Torch is a premium-grade Torch Coral selected for its particularly strong colour, fluorescence and contrast. Long, flowing tentacles give it constant movement, with the fluorescent pigments becoming especially vivid under blue-spectrum reef lighting.

?Ultra? is a trade grade rather than a separate variety or species, so each Ultra Torch can have its own combination of colour and pattern. It is essentially our way of saying this specimen stands out from a standard Torch.

Why We Like It

Torches already bring some of the best movement you can add to a reef, and an Ultra gives you the colour to match. They make brilliant feature corals without needing to be enormous, and as they develop additional heads they only become more impressive.

Care Notes

A well-established reef with stable alkalinity, calcium and magnesium suits Torch Corals best. They are primarily photosynthetic, although occasional feeding with small meaty or suitable coral foods can support growth and new head development.
